2 New Updates concerning COVID-19:

Gallipolis City School District will be closed for students until April 13, 2020. Closed

Today at 2:00pm, Governor Mike DeWine announced that all Ohio schools will have a three-week spring break as a precaution against the spread of coronavirus. Ohio K-12 schools will be closed from 3:30 p.m. Monday through at least April 3rd.

The Gallipolis City Schools is closing school to all students starting Monday, March 16th through April 13th.   As of now, all students and staff will resume school on April 13th. This will take into account the already schedule spring break which was intended for April 6th through April 10th.

There will be no school activities and no one will be permitted to enter the buildings during this scheduled closure. These precautions have been put in place to ensure the safety of our staff, students and community. The Gallipolis City School District will release more information as it becomes available and all updates will be posted on the district’s website.

Parents wishing to pick up student medication may do so at each school building on Friday, March 13th or Monday, March 16th from 8:00am to 2:30pm.

Additional information about COVID-19 is available on the Ohio Department of Health website and the Center for Disease Control website.

Thank you,

Superintendent Craig Wright
